Q: Why did you make the decision to work at Chipotle?

A: One of my closest friends introduced me to Chipotle. He was working at Chipotle for about 4 months at the time and was already a Kitchen Manager. I applied and was hired on the spot for a new restaurant opening.

 

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Chipotle?

A: My favorite thing about working in Chipotle is the people culture. The fact that you can grow and build a career from within is fascinating.

 

Q: What has been the most rewarding aspect of reaching Restaurateur?

A: The most rewarding aspect of reaching Restaurateur is seeing the opportunities that it creates for your team members and managers. After all the hard work and commitment to do the best and only the best, it is only right to reward them as well.

 

Q: What has been the most challenging aspect of reaching Restaurateur?

A: Working at Chipotle, you should feel challenged everyday. We’re growing fast and we should be constantly challenging each other to do better and better each day in our restaurants.

 

Q: What advice do you have for others on the road to Restaurateur?

A: Tough times don’t last, tough teams do. Make a plan of attack with your Field Leader and then share with your managers. Focus on hiring great people and using Chipotle’s tool to train them. Give constant feedback to your team and managers, and uphold Chipotle’s standards.

 

Q: What’s next for you at Chipotle?

A: You grow based on your hard work. Restaurateur is just the beginning. I’ll keep hiring and training great people and hopefully grow into a Field Leader.

 

Q: What is your go-to Chipotle order?

A: My go-to Chipotle order is a bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, chorizo, queso (of course), mild salsa, and guacamole.
