Q: Why did you make the decision to work at Chipotle?

A: My mom started working at Chipotle a few months before me. She was a single mother and I am the oldest child so I felt the responsibility to help her. When I asked her to help me look for a job, she talked to her General Manager and I decided to apply.


Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Chipotle? 

A: I love my crew and the people I work with – every day that I come to work feels like I am at home. When I came to Chipotle, I was just looking for a job to help my mom but I never thought this company was going to become my career. Thanks to this company, I have accomplished things that I never thought I would accomplish. In addition to that, not only Chipotle has giving me a career but also my wife! She is a General Manager at our nearby restaurant. My mom and sister are both crew members at different locations as well!


Q: What has surprised you the most about working at Chipotle? 

A: The knowledge I have gained working here has surprised me the most because I do not know where I would be if it wasn’t for the opportunities that this company provided for me.


Q: What has been the most rewarding aspect of reaching Restaurateur

A: The most rewarding aspect is that I get to be part of my restaurant patch’s success by sharing my knowledge and helping other restaurants out whenever they need me. Also, on a personal level, it’s rewarding to know that I am capable of doing anything that I set my mind to do.


Q: What advice do you have for others on the road to Restaurateur?  

A: Be persistent and don’t give up. Always ask questions because that is the only way you are going to learn. Be patient because nothing comes easy and fast, first you have to put the work before you can see the great results. Be humble and help others because you never know when you might need the help as well.


Q: What’s next for you at Chipotle? 

A:  I would like to keep learning and develop more leaders for this company. My ultimate goal is to become a Field Leader and continue the legacy that my current Field Leader is creating in our area.


Q: What is your go-to Chipotle order?  

A: Chicken bowl with white rice, black beans, corn salsa, and sour cream.
