Q: Why did you make the decision to work at Chipotle?
A: During my interview I was inspired by a Restaurateur named Yvonne who shared the career and growth opportunities within Chipotle as well as the personal development you receive. Chipotle also allowed me to financially take care of my family.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Chipotle?
A: The opportunity I have to change people’s lives along with the daily challenges and the amazing people I am surrounded by.
Q: What has surprised you the most about working at Chipotle?
A: The transformation I went through as a person. The people at Chipotle challenged me to change my life and way of thinking. I built true relationships and the people culture in our company is so special.
Q: What has been the most rewarding aspect of reaching Restaurateur?
A: It feels good to accomplish a goal that I set the day I was hired. It also feels great to have a team where they care about what were are doing. To me, “R” stands for responsibility! I am responsible to create opportunities for others along with taking on the ownership and mentorship of getting them to the next level.
Q: What has been the most challenging aspect of reaching Restaurateur?
A: Finding the right people who were going to care about fulfilling their role.
Q: What advice do you have for others on the road to Restaurateur?
A: Challenge yourself and others to be the very best version of themselves in work and in life. Share your goals, how you plan to achieve them, and how you can’t do it alone but it takes everyone.
Q: What’s next for you at Chipotle?
A: Continue to develop new leaders and support my newly promoted General Manager on her new journey with the plan of getting her to Restaurateur! After that, hopefully the Field Leader position is ready for me!
Q: What is your go-to Chipotle order?
A: Bowl with extra white rice, chicken, and carnitas with extra extra cheese and sour cream.
