Q: Why did you make the decision to work at Chipotle?
A: I made the decision to work at Chipotle because it looked like a good working environment, it was fast-paced, and the food there has been my favorite since I was young. It looked like there was great opportunity to move forward in the company and join an awesome group of people making a difference in the food industry.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Chipotle?
A: While working at Chipotle, I have come across a great diversity of people, awesome personalities, the food we provide for our customers is exceptional and of great quality. It has given me a lot of opportunities to change my life and my career and I am very grateful for it.
Q: What has surprised you the most about working at Chipotle?
A: The way this company has challenged me has made me a better person, leader, and team player and has really shaped me out to be the person I am today. I am very grateful to be where I am now.
Q: What has been the most rewarding aspect of reaching Restaurateur?
A: It has been accomplishment for me starting as a crew member and working my way to Restaurateur. I have made my way through Kitchen Manager, Service Manager, Apprentice, General Manager and now Restaurateur and it has been a great journey. I have met many great people, learned a lot of managing a business as well as running a kitchen.
Q: What advice do you have for others on the road to Restaurateur?
A: I would tell them to not give up – always push yourself and your team. Getting to Restaurateur is a journey not only for you, but for your team, management, and crew. In order to get there, you need a strong connection and ownership, everyone being on the same page.
Q: What is your go-to Chipotle order?
A: My go to order is a chicken bowl with white rice, pinto beans, a little mild salsa, sour cream, corn salsa, drops of hot salsa, sprinkle of cheese, guacamole, and some lettuce.
