“For a leader to fulfill their role, they must believe in making the people around them better with new challenges daily.”
– Gerard, Field Leader at Chipotle
Q: You have been one of our most successful mentors over the past year, earning more than a handful of People Development Bonuses. What’s your secret to success?
A: Truly the key to any success is consistency, utilizing the same blue print on each individual while making a personal connection. Let them know how they fit into your vision in helping you run a successful operation, but you must make it real.
Q: Why is it important to you to mentor and train others?
A: It is important to mentor and train others because of how gratifying it is to see people reach their potential. We build on each other’s strength. For a leader to fulfill their role, they must believe in making the people around them better with new challenges daily.
Q: How has mentoring others impacted your career?
A: Mentoring has been the cornerstone for my success. Just as I was given a career opportunity to grow from my mistakes, I believe in paying it forward to the success of someone else.
Q: What will do with your bonus money? Any big plans?
A: Upgrading my wife’s closet for her birthday and maybe renewing our vows.
